My name is Oky Sulistio. I was born in a small town called Bandung in Indonesia. I have always enjoyed the arts and have been blessed with a talent. Neither one of my parents were artists, nor any of my other family members. But somehow at a very early age, I could pick up a pen, pencil, or just create visions that were in my mind. So I am truly thankful for being blessed with an artistic talent, and with this talent, my life would be more easily directed as the years went by.

 

Most of my design influences are difficult to pinpoint. I discover bits and pieces that I respond to and let them influence me. Our environment is a wonderfully complex thing, and it never fails to reward the curious. I spend a lot of time just looking at nature: trees, insects, birds...being fascinated at the pure beauty of the world, both eastern and western culture.

 

Nothing should be discarded from thought when brainstorming a new project. Keep your mind open and let your thoughts roam free. Every visual object can be interpreted into graphic design.

 

All this has given me a very unique insight into communication. I understand what they want and why they want it. What they need and why they need it. And how they go about getting it. Which is why I am great at what I do.
